The Annual Philatelic Weekend is becoming increasingly popular, and has normally included the Society Competitions, although these have been temporarily suspended
(with the exception of the Literature Award) because of organisational difficulties.
It provides the opportunity for members to display and view collections in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere.
It is normally held just before Easter
and has taken place in recent years at the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, Charlecote, near Stratford-upon-Avon. The last five weekends there have proved very successful and
next year the event will be at the same venue, 16-18 March 2012, at a cost of approximately £70 per person per night (or less for two sharing a room) including dinner on the Friday and Saturday. Full details will be sent to members in good time with the Journal.
